JULY notice board
The New Forest Golf Club is located near the village of Lyndhurst, Hampshire which has a recorded history going back over a thousand years. The Club itself has been in existence since 1888 when villagers were granted permission from the Commissioners of Woods and Forests to play golf on open heathland. It is a very picturesque course situated in the heart of the New Forest, just off the A35 and a short drive from the M27 and M3.
You are assured of a warm and friendly welcome and a unique opportunity to experience
the natural forest course measuring just under 6,000 yards with a par of 69 and some
of the most scenic holes in Hampshire.
The Club supports the needs of players and
has an unrivalled reputation for friendship, social activities and golf competitions.
Peter Allis once wrote, “If you want to become involved in one of the really nice things in golf, go along to the New Forest Golf Club and have a game. In these days of high powered chrome fronted clubhouses, it is nice to get among the real people in golf”.
