1. The competition will be a 4-ball better-ball matchplay using the approved handicap difference played from the tee of the day.

 

2. The first section of the competition will be played in equally sized divisions formed by lot from the total number of pairs entering.

 

3. Match dates are nominated by the Competition Secretary to cover the initial league matches and the knockout phase to the final.

 

4. Matches must be played:

 

· over the course of the day

· off the tee of the day

· on any day Monday to Friday within the dates specified in 3. above

 

You have the choice of:

 

· fulfilling the fixture within the allotted time

or

· conceding the match with an arbitrary score of 3 and 2

 

There can be some flexibility by mutual consent in the event of course closure, weather conditions etc. but all matches must be completed by the stipulated date as per 3. above.

 

5. The semi finals will consist of the first two teams in each group.

 

 In the event of a tie on points for semi final places:

 

· the most holes "won by" will count

· if still tied then it will be holes "won by" minus holes "lost by"

 

 

6. The semi finals and final must be played to a finish with sudden death if match level after 18 holes.

 

7. Any problems arising will be adjudicated by the Seniors Section Committee.
